Dead men donating: Lawrence Zombie Walk raises more than $1,000 for Humane Society

Zombies shuffled their way through downtown Lawrence during the fifth annual Lawrence Zombie Walk. Over 500 people participated and raised money for the Lawrence Humane Society.

The dead came out in droves Thursday night.

Lawrence Zombie Walk organizer Harold Agnew tallied 867 participants — more than double last year’s total. The fifth annual walk also raised more than $1000 in cash and gifts for the Lawrence Humane Society.
