Dole Institute to host health care reform debate

The U.S. Supreme Court is expected to ultimately decide whether the federal health care reform law is constitutional, but two panelists will debate the issue Thursday at the Dole Institute of Politics.

Catherine Stetson, director of the appellate practice at Hogan Lovells in Washington, D.C., and Gregory Katsas, partner of the Washington, D.C., law firm Jones Day and a former assistant U.S. attorney general for the civil division, will discuss the 2014 individual health insurance mandate at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the institute, 2350 Petefish Drive, on Kansas University’s West Campus.

The program, which is open to the public, is a Constitution Day event at KU.
