— Nick Bennett carried 19 times for 181 yards and four scores, and Veritas Christian cruised past St. John’s Military School on Friday night to remain undefeated at 5-0.

“It was high-scoring, but it was a very physical game,” Veritas coach Doug Bennett said. “We knew (Friday night) would be one of our toughest tests. I was pleased with the effort.”

Preston Randall added 13 carries for 82 yards and two rushing touchdowns, and also went 11-of-19 passing for 166 yards for Veritas. Andrew Harvey paced the Eagles in receiving with three catches for 76 yards.

Defensively, Veritas linebackers Harvey, Randall and Alex Lynch had eight tackles apiece.

Veritas will play host to Kansas City East next Friday.
