Titanic exhibit to return to KC’s Union Station

? Kansas City’s Union Station is bringing back its most popular exhibit.

“Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition” will open March 10.

The Kansas City Star reported that the display will be a larger version of the traveling exhibit that was in Kansas City a decade ago.

That earlier exhibit still holds the station’s record for the largest attendance, with more than 280,000 visitors.

The timing of the exhibit will coincide with the 100th anniversary of the ocean liner’s sinking. The vessel was on its maiden voyage in April 1912 when it hit an iceberg in the North Atlantic. More than 1,500 people died.

Union Station officials say the exhibit is worth seeing again. The salvage company has returned to the wreckage since 2001 and more objects will be displayed this time.
