Kansas University’s volleyball team collected a couple of awards Monday.

Two Jayhawks — Allison Mayfield and Caroline Jarmoc — were honorable-mention selections to the All-Big 12 Conference team, and Jarmoc was named the final Big 12 defensive player of the week.

Mayfield, a senior from Overland Park, led the league with 4.16 kills per set. Jarmoc, a third-year sophomore, was second in the Big 12 with 1.25 blocks per set.

It was the first time since 2003 that two Jayhawks earned all-league mention.
