40 years ago: Ninth Street businesses affected by fire

From the Lawrence Daily Journal-World for Nov. 26, 1971:

Separate overnight fires in Lawrence had resulted in losses estimated at $30,000 and $6,000, including major loss in a one-story brick building in the first block of Ninth Street west of Massachusetts. The businesses affected were Lepidoptera, 19 W. Ninth; Gypsy Rage, 17 W. Ninth, and the Hodge Podge, 15 W. Ninth. The other fire had occurred in a three-story frame home at 1105 Louisiana when the occupant had used gasoline to start a fire in the fireplace.
