Garden City ? Garden City officials have chosen a new logo and a new motto for the southwestern Kansas community.

“The world grows here” is the new tag line. It’s accompanied by a new logo that officials hope will become the image of Garden City.

The Garden City Telegram reports that the new graphic resembles a yucca plant with multicolored leaves. It was unveiled this week by elected officials and other community leaders at the Finney County Convention and Tourism Bureau.

Tourism bureau director Lynn Schoonover said the final choice was selected with public input from at least five other tag lines and two other images.
