More trash talk
To the editor:
I join other seniors feeling the price of bins and extra bags is not needed or wanted. It’s pricey for those on a fixed income. We recycle at Walmart, Habitat for Humanity and the Salvation Army and we have a compost pile and use our shredder to make mulch. If we switch to this method, what do we do with our garbage cans? Are we supposed to haul our bins out to the curb? That should be a big draw to future senior residents.
Has the city shopped around for the best deal on trash removal? It would be great if people could choose their own trash provider, since they are paying for it.
