OKLAHOMA CITY — Authorities say three earthquakes that have shaken much of central Oklahoma could be felt as far away as Kansas, Missouri and Arkansas.
The U.S. Geological Survey says on its website early Saturday morning that a 4.7 magnitude earthquake struck at 2:12 a.m., with an epicenter about six miles north of Prague in southern Lincoln County. That's about 50 miles east of Oklahoma City.
A 3.4 magnitude aftershock was reported at 2:27 a.m. from the same location.
The survey says a 2.7 magnitude quake also was recorded at 2:44 a.m.
Lincoln County sheriff officials say there have been no reports of injuries but several people have reported items falling off walls.
Oklahoma City police officials say they have received several 911 calls, but have no reports of injuries or damage.

Darn, it wasn't grand enough swallow up "The Denier" Jim Inhoffe, a man that evolution skipped a beat on. Maybe next time around. Two opposing thumbs for another chance anyway.

James Mountain Inhofe.

Not that we needed a reason to dump on the senior senator from Oklahoma but! The reason Oklahoma is drying up and burning is no doubt due to the purgatory imposed on Christian whacko James Inhofe. Too much greasing his palms from the petroleum industry for this nut to understand climate change. This guy should have a hardshelled preacher and not a representative of his constituents. Wonder if his I.Q. is recordable.

Just felt another aftershock.

I read the 10:53 aftershock was initially measured at 5.2. That was after I figured out what it was shaking my house.

Here too, fairly long one if the epicenter is in Oklahoma again. My neighbor was up early this morning & said she felt it. Didn't really believe her, have to apologize to her tomorrow.

Funky, I thought my dog was scratching her ear and leaning against my desk because it was shaking. I looked over and no dog, weird.

Our whole house rumbled for what seemed like 30 seconds. Maybe at 11:55 or so? Totally freaked me out. We're near Pinckney.

I'll bet Fred Phelps is going to have something to say about this.

We felt it in southwest Lawrence, near Bishop Seabury school. It initially felt like someone bumped my chair, then things began to shake. I could actually see my computer monitor move.

Near Pinckney, also. Scared the pets, that's for sure! Spent many years in seismically active areas, but never expected to feel it here! Tornadoes will at least announce their presence!

That is a first for me. I heard a couple of pops or the sound of something moving and felt two shakes. My screen shook a little later.

Shake, rattle and roll! Likely will be some aftershocks since this was a 5.2.
Wonder how the Madrid Fault is doing what with the unusual activity in AR, OK and the East Coast area.
