An accident at Sixth Street and Gateway Court Wednesday afternoon sent three people to the hospital with minor injuries, according to a Lawrence police spokesman. A 64-year-old woman driving west in a red sport-utility vehicle turned left in front of a man who was driving east in a gold sedan. The 25-year-old male suffered nonlife-threatening injuries and was taken by ambulance to Lawrence Memorial Hospital. A 3- and 5-year-old also were taken to the hospital for observation.
