A 15-year-old boy was transferred to Lawrence Memorial Hospital after he hit a car near Woodlawn and Oak Tree drives at about 3:30 Tuesday afternoon. Sgt. Troy Squire said the boy was riding a bike, unable to stop and hit a moving Volkswagen. The boy was not wearing a helmet and had minor head injuries. Hospital officials said Tuesday evening that he had been treated and released, but did not give a time. Squire said no criminal citations had been issued.
