KDOT to announce Kansas aviation projects

? Kansas transportation officials are preparing to announce the next round of funding for aviation projects.

Secretary Deb Miller will join state and local officials in Quinter on Wednesday to release the list of 31 projects that will share more than $4.5 million in state funding. The event takes place at the Gove County Medical Center.

The aviation construction and upgrades are part of the state’s 2010 comprehensive transportation program that will spend about $8.2 billion over 10 years on roads, bridges, rail and airports.
