— Gov. Sam Brownback will be in Kansas City, Kan., on Tuesday to lead an economic summit on the life sciences.

The four-hour public meeting begins at 8 a.m. at the Kansas University Medical Center. Among those taking part will be Lt. Gov. Jeff Colyer, who's a physician, and Kansas University Chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little.

During his campaign last year, Brownback identified the life sciences and the KU Medical Center as important economic engines for the state.

The summit will include presentations by Medical Center representatives and others, followed by a roundtable discussion moderated by the governor.

Ah, Sam Brownback. He can't accept the fact that genetic frequency changes over time, but he's going to lead Kansas into the fututre of life science. Awesome.

Maybe you didn't read, but it is an economic summit. That means he will be talking about not only what is going on at KU med, but also about how to bring more jobs/money to the state through the life sciences sector of the economy.

Best way to increase jobs....clearly it requires the encouragement of benighted 19th century biological theories.

Additionally, maybe he can get them scienticians to outlaw the wicked wanton behaviors of 21st century women.

Sam has to be multitasking.

Exactly how many unemployed people are ready to go to work in the life sciences? This guy is just piddling around acting like he is doing something. What a fraud.
