Kansas City, Kan. Gov. Sam Brownback will be in Kansas City, Kan., on Tuesday to lead an economic summit on the life sciences.
The four-hour public meeting begins at 8 a.m. at the Kansas University Medical Center. Among those taking part will be Lt. Gov. Jeff Colyer, who's a physician, and Kansas University Chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little.
During his campaign last year, Brownback identified the life sciences and the KU Medical Center as important economic engines for the state.
The summit will include presentations by Medical Center representatives and others, followed by a roundtable discussion moderated by the governor.
