Brandon M. Mathis graduated from the U.S. Army Warrant Officer Candidate School at Fort Rucker, Daleville, Ala., and was appointed to the rank of warrant officer one. The warrant officer is a rotary wing aviator and has served in the military for more than five years.

He is the son of Leroy J. Mathis, Linwood. Mathis also earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of St. Mary in Leavenworth in 2004.

Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Logan P. Denney graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.

He is the son of Donald Denney, Olathe, and Deborah Hicks, Wellsville.
