Kansas City, Kan. ? Kansas City, Kan., officials say a man drowned during a family picnic at Wyandotte County Lake Park.

The man, who has not been identified, walked into the lake late Sunday and did not resurface.

Rescue crews had to use sonar and poles to search for the man because it was dark when the call came in. His body was found around 10:30 p.m. about 100 feet from shore.
