KU men’s golf places 10th at National Invitational Tournament in Arizona

? Chris Gilbert tied for 26th-place individually to lead Kansas University men’s golf team to a 10th-place finish in the two-day, 15-team National Invitational Tournament, which concluded Tuesday.

Gilbert posted the best round for the Jayhawks with a one-over par 72 on the second day. He shot 75 and 77 in the first and third rounds for a 223 total.

Teammate Nate Barbee carded a 225 total to tie for 34th, while Jeff Bell’s 227 tied for 44th overall. Both players shot 76 on the final day. Alex Gutesha tied for 57th at 230 and Doug Quinones tied for 75th at 235.
