HARPER ? A 19-year-old man who was fleeing from police on an all-terrain vehicle has died in a crash near the south-central Kansas town of Harper.

The Kansas Highway Patrol identified the man who died as Cole Augustyn of Harper.

The patrol says his fleeing ATV became airborne during the police pursuit Saturday.

Augustyn was flown to St. Francis Hospital in Wichita where he later died. He wasn’t wearing a helmet.
