Saline County Jail inmate beaten with domino-filled sock after allegedly stealing honey bun

? A purloined pastry has led to new charges against seven inmates at a central Kansas jail.

The Salina Journal reports that a 23-year-old inmate at the Saline County Jail allegedly took a honey bun belonging to another inmate sometime Saturday.

Late Saturday night, the suspected pastry thief was jumped by seven fellow inmates and beaten with a sock filled with dominoes. The sheriff’s office says the beaten man was treated at the jail for a possible rib injury.

Six of the other inmates have been charged with battery, and the seventh with aggravated battery.
