The U.S. National Weather Service has placed eastern Kansas under a slight risk for severe weather Tuesday, June 14, 2011.

There is a chance for thunderstorms late Tuesday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service, and some of the storms may be severe.

Large hail, damaging winds and an isolated tornado are possible.

The NWS has placed eastern Kansas, including Douglas County, under a slight chance for severe weather.
