June 11, 2011

— Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback is scheduled to tour areas in northeast Kansas threatened by flooding from the Missouri River.

The governor’s office said he and Maj. Gen. Lee Tafanelli, Kansas Adjutant General, will visit Atchison and Doniphan Counties on Monday afternoon.

They are scheduled to meet with local leaders, emergency responders and residents in Atchison and Elwood to discuss how they’re preparing for potential flooding.

We know God sees Brownback pretty much the same as he did Moses. I fully expect to see Sam parting the flood waters.

And then, for an encore, he'll pull a rabbit out of his hat.

This is just another local photo op, handshaking, trying to work for votes. Too bad we taxpayers pay for his travel. What's the point? Yep, there's flooding.
