High wind warning for Douglas County allowed to expire

A high wind warning for Douglas County issued by the National Weather Service expired as scheduled at 1 a.m. Friday.

The NWS reported high winds between 50 and 65 miles per hour in southern Douglas County. Winds at that speed may blow down trees and power lines or cause other damage.

Douglas County emergency dispatchers reported a few trees and power lines down in the southern part of the county, but no significant property damage.
