Topeka ? A lawsuit filed by two former Washburn University administrators who were fired has been settled.

Robin Bowen, former vice president for academic affairs, and Wanda Hill, former vice president for administration and treasurer, sued the school in Topeka last year.

They claimed they were fired by President Jerry Farley for answering questions from the university’s board of regents about financial matters. They also said Farley coached them to evade questions because he was concerned the board was trying to have him fired. And they claimed Farley inflated student enrollment figures.

Farley denied the accusations.

The Topeka Capital-Journal reports that the regents were told last week that Hill will be paid $82,500, while Bowen will receive $130,000 and health insurance until December. Bowen also will resign from her tenured faculty position.
