Kentucky Street, which was closed at 19th Street about 10:30 a.m. Friday because of a natural gas line break, has reopened.

Crews replacing a water line in the area hit the gas line, according to Jeanette Klamm, utilities programs manager for the city.

She said work continues on the gas line repair, but traffic is moving through the area. She noted that work is continuing on the water line, too, so the street is down to one lane of traffic.

“It’s back to a normal construction zone,” she said.
