— Former Kansas University golfer Gary Woodland barely made the cut at Friday’s British Open in Sandwich, England.

Woodland fired a two-under 68 on Friday, one day after opening the tournament with a 75. He sat at 143 (three-over) after the second day of action, seven strokes behind co-leaders Darren Clarke and Lucas Glover (four-under, 136). The cut line was three-over.

Woodland tees off at 3:25 a.m. Saturday with Ryan Moore of the United States.
