4-H and FCE news for July 16, 2011

The Stull Busy Beavers met June 13 at the Stull United Methodist Church Faith and Friendship Center. President Wyatt Schumann called the meeting to order. Roll call was answered by “How are you a good leader?,” and “Home on the Range” was led by the song leaders. Fair pre-entries were due June 30. The club’s community ice cream social was from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday in the Stull churchyard. Each family was asked to bring ice cream and a dessert. Alexis Clark gave a talk on her arts and craft project, and the members played tag for recreation. The meeting was adjourned by saying the 4-H motto. The next meeting, the club tour, will be today at the Schumanns’ home.

The Vinland FCE will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday to make noodles at the Vinland United Methodist Church, 1724 N. 692 Road, Baldwin City. Members are to bring a covered dish and their own table service to go with the chicken and noodles for lunch. Hostess will be Elizabeth Hemphill.
