Cincinnati ? The Kansas City Sluggers went 2-1 and advanced out of pool play and into the championship bracket of the 18-U Premier World Series on Thursday.

The Sluggers fell to the North Texas Titans, 7-1, on Wednesday, but rebounded with a pair of victories — 8-6 over the Metro Detroit Athletics and 6-2 over the Satchel Paige All-Stars (Chicago) — on Thursday.

Bryce Montes de Oca and J.D. Prochaska earned victories on the mound for the Sluggers, who will face opponents to be determined in the championship bracket today
