Texas fan hit by Hamilton foul ball needs stitches

? A Texas Rangers fan required stitches after being struck in the head by a ball fouled off by Josh Hamilton.

The male fan was sitting a few rows behind the third-base dugout when he was hit in the sixth inning Friday night, a day after a fatal accident at Rangers Ballpark.

Stadium personnel immediately tended to the fan, who had blood on his face. He held a compress against his head while walking away to get further attention.

Rangers officials said the fan was treated at the stadium and was OK. They didn’t identify him or provide additional details.
