Topeka ? The Kansas City Sluggers advanced to the championship bracket of the Topeka Stars Woodbat Invitational on Friday by going 1-1-1 in pool play.

K.C. defeated the San Antonio Wranglers, 6-5, in Topeka, and then tied Team Colorado, 5-5, in Manhattan. The game finished in a tie after nine innings because of time constraints.

The Sluggers will play at 2 p.m. today in Topeka.
