Farm Aid adds Mraz, Dylan to musical lineup

? Next month’s Farm Aid benefit in northeastern Kansas will feature a range of singers and styles extending well beyond country.

Organizers announced several additions Thursday to the lineup for the Aug. 13 concert at Livestrong Sporting Park in Kansas City, Kan. Among them are pop singer-songwriter Jason Mraz and rocker Jakob Dylan, lead singer and songwriter for the Wallflowers.

Other acts announced Thursday include Jamey Johnson, Rebecca Pidgeon, Robert Francis and Billy Joe Shaver. Farm Aid board members Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, Neil Young and Dave Mathews will also perform.

Farm Aid began in 1985 to raise money to help struggling farm families remain on their land. The concert was held last year in Milwaukee and two years ago in suburban St. Louis.
