Two die in wrong-way crash on Interstate 435

? Charges have been filed in a July 4 traffic accident that killed a Belton woman and her daughter.

Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker said in a statement that a man is charged with two counts of manslaughter for the crash on Interstate 435 that killed 44-year-old Diane Bronson, and her 11-year-old daughter, Anna Bronson.

The two were killed Monday when the car they were in collided head on with an SUV going the wrong way down I-435 in the Kansas City area.

Baker said the man has also been charged with driving under the influence. She said authorities are trying to confirm the man’s name and hometown, but they believe he’s an 18-year-old from Kansas City, Kan.
