Eudora ? Elijah Penny scored 23 points and Veritas Christian’s boys basketball team cruised past Whitefield Christian Academy, 51-38, on Friday night.

“Elijah has been my most consistent scorer,” Veritas coach Gary Hammer said. “He’s a really good ballplayer. He’ll score in double figures almost every night.”

The Eagles built a five-point halftime lead and extended it to 13 at game’s end.

Veritas (11-2) will travel to Manhattan Chief at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
