University Bridge Club announces results of its Jan. 15 meeting with hosts Cathy Stephens and Joan VanNice.

Blue winners: Jerry Noland, first; Florence McNicoll, second; Betty Vincent, third; and Richard Quinn tied in fourth and fifth with Tom Waller.

Pink winners: Lois Liebert, first; Janet Dunn, second; Bonnie Haney, third; Carolyn Harden, fourth; and Dottie Miller, fifth.

The Wednesday Afternoon Duplicate Bridge Club’s game on Jan. 12 was directed by Chris Lane. North-South winners were Ed Howard and John Fittell, first in A; Steven Vossler and Vince Nordberg, second in A; Grant Sutton and Catherine Blumenfeld, third in A and first in B; Janice Hollowell and Mary Fenlon, fourth in A; Mark Osborn and Bobby Patton, fifth in A and second in B; Lois Clark and Chuck Hedges, third in B; and Albert Ballard and Margrete Hartman, first in C.

The Thursday Morning Mentor Duplicate Bridge Club’s game on Jan. 13 was directed by Chris Lane. The Friday Afternoon Duplicate Bridge Club’s game on Jan. 14 was directed by Virginia Seaver. North South winners were Steven Vossler and Larry Weatherholt, first in A; Jeremy Martin and Craig Huneke, second in A, and first in B and C; Kent McCullough and John Fittell, third in A; Ed Howard and Polly Schoning, fourth in A; and Lester Dalton and Betty Collier, second in B.

East-West winners were Jerry Sloan and Dave Chipman, first in A; Lois Clark and Mark Osborn, second in A and first in B; Grant Sutton and Catherine Blumenfeld, third in A and second in B; Sally Taylor and Klee Zaricky, fourth in A and third in B; and Jean Khatib and Jolene Andersen, first in C.

The Monday Evening Duplicate Bridge Club’s game on Jan. 17 was directed by Virginia Seaver. Winners were Craig Huneke and Virginia Seaver, first in A; Steven Vossler and Larry Weatherholt, second in A; Donna Johnson and James Masilamani, third in A; and Peter Petillo and Brian Barrett, fourth in A and first in B.

Over the Rainbow Doll Club met Jan. 13 at the home of Jan Dyer. Members made final plans for the Girl Scouts’ “Hobby/Collection Try It” badge on Jan. 29. The registered girls will move between three centers of different activities and end with a tea party. Gail Brewster gave a lesson on Boy Dolls. Brewster shared several examples of various eras, sizes, materials and artist. Members were provided with four categories to create an outfit for their doll for the February Valentine’s meeting. Prizes will be given in each category. A door prize was won by Lou Anne Burgess.
