More than 500 undergraduate, graduate and nursing students at Baker University were awarded degrees during commencement ceremonies held Dec. 18-19 at the Collins Center.

Area graduates earning bachelor’s degrees are: Amanda Helm, Austin Inzer, Catherine Sailler, Ashley Snedeger and Cory Wright, Baldwin City; Amanda Garrison, Melissa Isbell and Katy Kendrick, Lawrence; April Kruse, Oskaloosa; Adam O’Trimble, Perry; and Eli Jones (music education), Tonganoxie.

Area graduates earning Master of Business Administration degrees are: John Cramer, Baldwin City; Jason Koehn, Eudora; and Dustin Chase, Courtney Hutton and Amber Jaimez, Lawrence.

Lawrence graduates earning other master’s degrees are: Joanne Altieri, Anita Carlson (school leadership), Audrey Goebel-Hall and Bobbi Hamman (education), and Patricia Neuteboom (teaching).

Howard Lynch will celebrate his 90th birthday on Wednesday with a card shower. Cards may be sent to Lynch at 1729 E. 30th St., Lawrence, KS 66046.

A dinner celebration will be held the following weekend with his three sons, Jerry, Galen and Ronnie, and their families.

Bethel College, North Newton, announces Lawrence students who earned academic distinction the fall 2010 semester.

Seniors Amanda Fredrickson and Will Nagengast were named to the dean’s list, by earning a grade-point average between 3.7 to 4.0.

Junior Anna Cook and seniors Andrea Baldwin and Genevieve Rucker were named to the honor roll, by earning a grade-point average between 3.5 to 3.69.

Kansas State University announces its December graduates. Commencement ceremonies were held Dec. 10-11.

Ryan Debold, Lawrence, earned a Master of Landscape Architecture degree.

Pittsburg State University’s 15th Winter Commencement exercises were held Dec. 17 in the Garfield Weede Physical Education Building on the PSU campus.
