Veritas girls basketball



— Kayli Farley scored 18 points, Ellen Phillips added eight points and five rebounds and Veritas Christian’s girls basketball team defeated Heritage Christian, 44-32, on Tuesday night.

The Eagles forced Heritage into 33 turnovers.

“That was the difference in the game,” Veritas coach Kevin Shelton said. “Our defensive pressure was good. We did really well with our full-court press.”

Veritas improved to 4-6 and will play host to Whitefield Christian on Friday at the Eudora Community Center.
