Missouri man gets life sentence for 2008 murder in Kansas City

? A 26-year-old Missouri man has been sentenced to life in prison for a 2008 killing in Kansas City, Kan.

Loviss Todd, of Kansas City, Mo., was convicted last year of first-degree murder in the death of Vincent Green. He was sentenced Thursday in Wyandotte County District Court.

Todd was also convicted of crimes against two other men. Besides the life sentence, he will also serve 59 months for aggravated robbery, 41 months for aggravated battery and 12 months for aggravated assault.

Todd was on supervised release in Jackson County, Mo., when the Kansas crimes occurred. Wyandotte County District Attorney Jerome Gorman says Todd will serve the Kansas term after completing a sentence in Missouri for burglary.
