Lawrence man wins $636,000 in state lottery

The Kansas Lottery announced Monday that a 57-year-old Lawrence man won the Dec. 29 Super Kansas Cash drawing.

The man, who asked lottery officials to not disclose his name, won $636,066 by matching all the numbers in last Wednesday’s drawing.

The man bought the ticket at the Swansea convenience store, 1801 W. Second St.

Even half is still a lot of wood. The government will probably do with their half the same thing he does with his, squander it on some fancy record player.

Does a winner automatically lose half to the govt regardless of how much they win?. In UK at least you get to keep it all and we have roundabouts.

I heard he just filed bankruptcy last year so he'll probably squander it then cry when it's gone and he has to file bankruptcy again in 10 yrs.
