Police arrested a 27-year-old Lawrence woman early Sunday morning after she attempted to hit a man with her car in the parking lot of The Poolroom, 925 Iowa.

The incident occurred around 1:40 a.m., when the woman made “multiple attempts” to run over the man with her Chevrolet Malibu, said Lawrence Police Sgt. Kirk Fultz.

Fultz said that the incident was a domestic dispute.

The suspect was arrested on charges of aggravated assault and criminal property damage and booked into the Douglas County Jail.
