Kansas University senior Amanda Maez was honored by the Big 12 Conference and Chick-fil-A on Wednesday as a member of the 2011 Winter Community of Champions.

Maez is a freestyle specialist from Albuquerque, N.M.

During the fall, winter and spring terms, one student athlete from each Big 12 school is honored as a member of the community of champions based on academics, community service and leadership/sportsmanship.
