Lawrence Douglas County Fire Medical investigators are still looking into a fire they believe may have been intentionally set in a vacant west Lawrence house.

Division chief Eve Tolefree, a fire department spokeswoman, said there also was vandalism at the house at 3133 Creekwood Drive, near Princeton Boulevard and Peterson Road. The investigation likely would not be completed Tuesday, Tolefree said.

Fire investigators were called to the unoccupied home about 5 p.m. Monday after a neighbor believed someone was trying to set fire to the house. The small fire was out when crews arrived.

LJW: please stay on this story.

what was the apparent motive for this?

ecoterrorists have been doing a lot of arson.

or, insurance scam?

or what?

too many vacant homes these days thanks to Barney Frank and the democrat legislators, Carter, Clinton's justice department, pushing banks to give mortgages to people who just couldn't afford them. then Frank and the dems blocked the required fix to the regs. so, then the bubble burst. and we have far far too many vacant homes locally and nationally.

WTF does Barney Frank and the democratic legislature have to do with an attempted arson?

  1. Shut off your computer.
  2. Find your remote.
  3. Turn FOX News back on.
  4. Leave the rest of us alone.

P.S. If you forget to take your statin drugs and stroke out, none of us will complain.

what an example of a tolerant loving lawrence liberal, trying to stop speech e/she/it doesn't like!

try reading again: was commenting on large number of vacant homes.

maybe you don't know this, but it's a national epidemic.

you see, your politicians prevented proper oversight of the two GSE's, freddie and fannypack. and bawney fwank even had a love affair with one of the head dudes at one of them, while he was supposed to be providing oversight.

further, he publicly stated more than once that people shouldn't worry about freddy and fannypack, 2006-2007.

does that help your lack of understanding Whirled?
you still insanely demanding to know all the private details of Aisha Khan's disappearance too?
more like you should stop feeding your mind on vapid mindrot reality TV.

and btw, Fox News has massive ratings, and viewers demonstrate in surveys that we are more informed on current events than you fools who get your lack of information from surces like MSNBC.
now go away.
