Koch Industries wants to fill jobs

? Koch Industries says it wants to fill 2,500 jobs across the nation, including 300 in Wichita where the company is headquartered.

The Wichita Eagle reports that most of the job openings at Koch Industries and 10 of its subsidiaries are new, professional positions such as information technology, accounting and engineering.

Those adding jobs include Koch Chemical Technology Group, Flint Hills Resources, Invista, Koch Industries, Koch Carbon, Koch Fertilizer, Koch Minerals, Koch Pipeline Co., Koch Supply and Trading, Matador Cattle Co. and the C. Reiss Coal Co.

Jeff Morris, director of talent development, told the newspaper most of the job openings are due to growth, as opposed to replacement.

Koch and its subsidiaries have increased their Wichita workforce from 2,200 a few years ago to 2,555 employees this year.
