Manhattan ? Riley County police have arrested a suspect in the death of a man found along a dirt road north of Manhattan.

The dead man has been identified as 31-year-old Steve Freel, of Manhattan. A resident reported seeing the body Wednesday morning.

Authorities haven’t disclosed how or when the killing occurred.

Police announced the arrest early Thursday. More details were expected to be released at a news conference later in the day.
