Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins has announced the names of students from Kansas’ 2nd Congressional district who received her nomination for appointments to the U.S. Service Academies. The nominees will compete for a space in the class of 2016. The service academies will make the final decisions.
Air Force Academy nominees: Kelsey Kilburn, Lawrence High School; Grant Moyer, Basehor-Linwood High School; Logan O’Dea, Wellsville High School; and Parker Osborne, Tonganoxie High School.
Military Academy nominee: Parker Osborne, Tonganoxie High School.
Naval Academy nominees: Derek Moore and Caleb Smith, both of Wellsville High School.
Merchant Marine Academy nominees: Ludwig Johanning and Molly Olson-Kelly, both of Lawrence High School.
