A 27-year-old rural Baldwin City man reported to the Douglas County Sheriff’s office Tuesday that someone had burglarized his residence in the 900 section of North 640 Road between Aug. 9 and Tuesday. In the burglary a safe with $5,000 cash inside was taken along with a jar with $200 in coins, a .22 revolver and a passport.
