Douglas County and Eudora are lending a hand to the city of Leavenworth, as crews clear fallen tree limbs from last Thursday night’s storm.

Douglas County sent a dump truck and skid loader, as well as an operator for each machine, said Teri Smith, director of emergency management for the county. Eudora assisted by sending a dump truck and a backhoe. The request for help came in Monday night, and cleanup is expected to continue through Friday.
