A 27-year-old Lawrence woman was transported to Lawrence Memorial Hospital on Friday evening after flipping her car near the intersection of Sixth and Ohio streets.

Lawrence Police Sgt. Trent McKinley said the incident occurred just before 8 p.m. The woman was believed to have been driving southbound on Ohio Street before turning. Her vehicle then struck a parked car and rolled. McKinley said there were no witnesses present at the time of the accident, so police are still not exactly sure how fast the woman had been driving or what events led to the accident. McKinley said the woman’s injuries appeared to be minor.

Is it the same 27 year old woman who flipped her car on 10 highway early this week somebody get that cell phone from her.

Perhaps any of the following contributing factors; cell phone usage, applying makeup, eating a donut, reading a book, a little too much alcohol, playing grab-ass, looking at the fall colors, going too fast, brakes failed, avoiding a armadillo, sun blinded her, whatever! She'll need a good story for this one

Sun blinded her going south? I think we can rule out that one! I vote for armadillo.

Killer DIller!!

Might have been an Africanized Killer Bee of Death, she was swatting at when she lost control.

In the movies her car would have blown up.

I would be curious what kind of car she was driving. I saw a car going 30 mph hit a pothole, swerve to the curb and flip in Topeka one day. It was a boxy suv.

Not an SUV- it was a standard 4 door sedan so I don't think we can blame the car.

No claim of mechanical failure -- according to my neighbors she claimed that she fell asleep at the wheel. (I live on the block and saw the aftermath)

You don't have to read any further than the word..."She"...

Darn, debris from the August Perseid Meteor Shower affected her brain synapses. That, or the singing cicadas drove her batty!
