What are the hippies going to smoke at the Bluegrass festival next month?

I didn't see mention in the story of this being a pot bust. First thing that occurred to me was meth, the cocaine of the rural areas of the U.S.

Nothing like missing teeth and consistent mouth movement to get that rural hillbilly meth head look.

Having spent some time in rural south central Kansas, I remember the night my husband and I were going through one of the ghost towns out in the middle of nowhere. It was our first time in the area and our Garman was feeding us garbage as we hunted for the road we were looking for. Couldn't even get cell service. It was after midnight as we had wandered around lost for at least an hour and it was after midnight. As we traveled past this ghost town I had to turn the AC to recirc because the "fresh air" coming in from outside was so heavily laced with marijuana it was overpowering. Now ya know how those places generate an income and support themselves.

Well, you know that stuff will just grow as a wild weed.

Sometimes that "skunky" smell is just a skunk! LOL.

Especially along the railroad tracks by the Missouri River between KC and Saint Louis. I think it's now called the Space Hog Express.
