Power restored to 167 Westar Energy customers in Lawrence
At least 167 Westar Energy customers briefly lost power in Lawrence Thursday morning, according the company.
The outage happened about 9:45 a.m. near 23rd Street and Naismith Drive. Crews restored service about 10:45 a.m.
Westar Energy representative Gina Penzig said the outage was caused by damage done to a power pole in a non-injury car accident.
Thursday’s outage is unrelated to an outage Wednesday morning caused by a car running into a power pole near Ninth Street and Centennial Drive.
