KU women 11th at Big 12 golf

? Freshman Thanuttra Boonraksasat tied for 23rd, and senior Meghna Bal tied for 28th as Kansas University’s women’s golf team placed 11th at the Big 12 Championships on Sunday at Old Hawthorne Golf Course.

Boonraksasat shot 76-73-75–224 and Bal 73-78-75–226.

Kansas shot 302-305-304–911 to finish five strokes ahead of last-place Kansas State. Texas won with 872 strokes, and UT’s Madison Pressel won the individual crown with a 208.

Kansas’ other scores: Katy Nugent, tied for 35th, 77-77-74–228; Grace Thiry, tied for 54th, 77-77-84–238; and Meghan Potee, 59th, 76-84-80–240.
