Manhattan ? Authorities in Manhattan say a 14-year-old boy has been arrested in the death of a fellow high school freshman.

KMAN-AM reports Riley County Police announced the arrest Thursday. The suspect is being held at the Geary County Juvenile Detention Center on suspicion of murder.

The body of 14-year-old Tyler Dowling was found Wednesday evening in a field behind an apartment complex in northwest Manhattan. An autopsy is pending, but police quickly labeled the death a homicide.

Both boys were freshman at Manhattan High School.
