KU rowing scores victory over UT in Second Novice Eight

Kansas University’s rowing team improved its times in all events from last month’s Oklahoma Invitational and scored a victory in the Second Novice Eight against No. 16 Texas on Saturday in the Jayhawks for the Cure Pink Event regatta.

“We had better performances across the board,” Kansas coach Rob Catloth said. “We knew Texas was going to be tough. They came into this week ranked 16th as a team. They beat No. 10 Wisconsin two weeks ago, so we knew they were going to be really tough. We were trying to make a lot of improvements as a team from our Oklahoma races. We feel like we did a pretty good job of that.”
